We run no advertising or analytics tags from third parties unless you allow them. If you choose “Allow” on our privacy notice, we share your visit to this site with our advertising and analytics partners so we can see which of our adverts work and how the site is used. If you choose “No thanks”, or do not answer, nothing is shared with them. This never applies to your account or to the staff back office. We do not sell your information.
Be aware that we record how pages are used
Our analytics does more than count visits: it records how a page is used — mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and the content of the page — and lets us replay that as a session. We use it to find where people get stuck, not to look at individuals.
Text you type into a field is masked and not captured. It is still a recording of a browsing session, held by a provider outside South Africa, and we would rather say so plainly than bury it.
The staff back office is excluded. Analytics is not loaded on staff.buybackgold.com at all. Client records, identity documents and audit history are never in a session recording, because the tool never runs on the screens that show them.
How to switch it off
In your browser. Every major browser can block or clear cookies for a single site, and clearing site data for buybackgold.com removes everything in the table above. Note that clearing it also signs you out and brings the privacy notice back.
Do Not Track and global privacy signals. Where your browser sends one, our analytics provider honours it to the extent the law requires.
Browser extensions. Content blockers that block analytics will block ours here. Nothing on this site depends on it — the calculator, your account and the booking flow all work with it blocked.
